Our Dargdaffin Dogs
Over the years Dargdaffin dogs have gone all over the country and to many places in the world. They are owned by competitors, shooters, wildfowlers, stalkers and keepers
We constantly get good reports of them and the owners often come back to us for a second or third dog either as a replacement for a lost companion or because they just "have to" have another Dargdaffin dog
If we could we would keep all of them, but as that is not practical we take the opportunity to profile the Dargdaffin dogs that are with us.
Please find below our Dargdaffin Dogs, their details, short description and for their pedigree in PDF format click the photo
Dargdaffin Emlyn and Elsa (pedigree name Eva) are litter brother and sister born in July 1996. Elsa has a hip score of 4:3. They are still going strong (well for most of the day) but the knowledge they have gained over the years allows them to retrieve as well as the youngsters, just not as fast
Dargdaffin Flash is a stylish and well trained dog. His hips are 8:8 but we have always felt this was a little unfair. He is a a dog that "just gets on" with the job. Easy to handle. Born in Febuary 2002 he moves well and works very stylishly.
Dargdaffin George. One of 3 of the "G" litter we have here. Big, handsome, strong and very gentle. This dog born in March 2004 with his 4:3 hip score is available at stud. His training is completed. George has worked the full season over last 2 years and his enthusiasm and fast retrieving is the same on the last day as it is on the first day of the season
It is sometimes hard to believe that the little pup on the left, who had worked out that if she stayed in the food bowl she would be first in line for the next feed, would grow up to be my lead picking up dog. Gem has a hip score of 2:2 and her first litter produced pups with 0:0 and 0:2 hips. Highly intelligent with an abundance of game finding ability I am always confident to take on any retrieve if I have Gem with me. She is litter sister to George and Grace (the "G" litter) born March 2002 ans Dam to the "H" Litter
Dargdaffin Grace - pet name Morag, Hips 3:4. Is the 3rd "G" pup that we kept and again she has turned out to be a natural. Easily trained nothing seems to bother her. She as dam to the J litter
She normally accompanies Bill Forbes when he is picking up on the local estates
She has a particular skill of finding runners with her highly developed hunting nose
Dargdaffin Hannah and Hamish, born September 2006. Slowly slowly for these 2. They have so much potential it is tempting to move on to quickly with there training. They are nicely on track to be introduced to the field in October. Hannah is solidly built and has 0:0 hips. Her brother has 0:2 hips and is growing into a very good looking dog. Both are fast with good delivery and their marking and memory training is very advanced.
How does this adorable little puppy
become
Katie the cocker
What can I say. Never have I had such a dog as full of fun, with as much guts and determination like Katie. Picking up, dogging in, its all the same to her, and the entertainmet factor is pricless
