Our Dargdaffin Dogs
Over the years Dargdaffin dogs have gone all over the country and to many places in the world. They are owned by competitors, shooters, wildfowlers, stalkers and keepers
We constantly get good reports of them and the owners often come back to us for a second or third dog either as a replacement for a lost companion or because they just "have to" have another Dargdaffin dog
On this page we show the dogs that are with us just now. Some are permanent crew, others are staying with us whilst they get a couple of years experience before being available to a new home. Some are young dogs just starting out and will be available as part trained later one.
We often keep back pups from each litter so we can check that our breeding program is "On Track"

Dargdaffin Flash is a stylish and well trained dog. His hips are 8:8 but we have always felt this was a little unfair. He is a a dog that "just gets on" with the job. Easy to handle. Born in 2002 he moves well and works very stylishly. Flash is part of our permanent picking up crew. He is sire to the Mucklehart "A" Litter

Dargdaffin George. Born 2004 with a hip score of 4:3. George has proven himself many times over the last 3 seasons doing all that is asked of him. Although big and strong he has a gentle temperament and enjoys his picking up days. George is part of our permanent picking up crew. He is available at Stud to Optigen Clear Bitches as he is a carrier
Dargdaffin Grace - pet name Morag, Hips 3:4. She has turned out to be a natural.
Easily trained, nothing seems to bother her. She is Dam to the J litter
She has a particular skill of finding runners with her highly developed hunting nose. Bill describes her as a hunting machine. She is part of our permanent picking up crew

Dargdaffin Hamish is a full member of the Picking up team. Hips 0:2, Bill has done some "test" work with him. It is unlikely that he would be available for sale. Born September 2006. He is available at Stud to Optigen Clear Bitches as he is a carrier

Dargdaffin Lance is being bought on slowly. His hips have been tested and come back as 0:0. He has been transferred to Bills kennels to run along side Hamish. He is Optigen and Eyes clear
Dargdaffin Kay has a lovely calm temperament that is leaning her training towards being a peg dog. Hips 3-3 Born June 08. Eyes Clear
Cora born August 2007 is almost ready to claim a full place on the picking up team. She has proven her worth time and time again as a superior game finding retriever. Hips 0:3 and eyes clear she is the Dam to the Mucklehart "A" litter
Opal is growing up fast and has started doing some dogging in and beating duties. He is retrieving to hand. His character has remained young at heart.
Dargdaffin Emlyn, Born July 1996 gave us years of faithful service and is now retired
Dargdaffin Laird is the rising star of the kennels. 0:0 Hips Optigen and Eyes clear he has had his first retrieves in the shooting field and its all coming together for him. The pleasure this dog derives from retrieving make him easy to work with. He is listed on our Stud Page
Dargdaffin Luna can be a unnerving dog at times. Her return is so fast and she so desperate want to place it in your hands it can sometimes make you feel like you want to step backwards.

Mucklehart Astrid is the pup that we are keeping from the first Mucklehart litter.
She was a easy choice as she has a lot of the same characteristics as her Dam, Cora and the stamina of her Sire Flash.
I am looking forward to this girl staying with us for a few years and taking her into the field. Born July 09. Pedigree here
